Using a cumbersome technology like the blockchain is not going to help IBM or Maersk. Since both are big companies there is existing trust — therefore no need to use a blockchain.

What both companies can do (if not already doing this) is to provide REST API to their logs and/or databases so that outside parties can find information relevant to them.
